“This drawing is about a cat crashing into a window during a storm, with a bridge and a warm whole water vortex in the background. I’ve incorporated forced perspective on the cat butting into the window, combined with cubism for suggested movement of the cat crashing in the viewers face. Then I’ve also used impressionism for the closet cat and the bridge. Furthermore, I’ve chosen blue water and some orange on the cat’s eyes (complimentary color scheme) to bring the focal point to the odd cat. The water was inspired by Japanese woodcut printmaking style of line art expanding in an outwards circle. To conclude, it creates a dynamic optical illusion and also a funny piece.”
